Christmas Eve

It is now less than an hour before Christmas and the children accross the world are nestled all snug in their beds...I'm included in that! Christmas is definately MUCH less exciting when you don't believe but it is fun to expericece it through the eyes of children.

That brings me to what I have been doing so far over break. I babysat on Friday; the 3 little girls are as cute as can be and one even got me a present from her school christmas bazaar. It was nice to see how excited they were for Santa to come (it also meant that they were very well behaved because they didn't want to be on the naughty list!) I have also been visiting with my friends and family because unlike at Thanksgiving, now I have time to spend with everyone. I saw the lights down town with 3 of my friends, then my friend Jackie stayed for me for 2 days. This was also the first year that I got to go to my high school cross country team's alumni dinner. It was really nice to see my old teammates and all the people that have been a part of the dynasty of Dulaney XC.

In my down time, I am watching some movies. So far I have seen Horrible Bosses and Hunt for Red October (sorry...I really just couldn't get into that one...I know I'm a disappointment to the Navy...).
The special Christmas bread my Grandmother makes every
year. This year she messed up for the very first time since she
took over making it from her mother. I'm nervous for when I
have to do it one day! 
Well, I guess it's time for me to go to bed so that I will be well rested to open lots of presents and eat lots of delicious food!

Super Tuesday

Yes, I know it's Wednesday, but I went to bed at 9 last night (I'm a grandma) and all the states hadn't reported their winners. If you don't know what Super Tuesday is, its the day where there are the most primaries for the primary election. To win the Republican nomination a candidate must get 1,144 delegates and over 400 of them were at stake yesterday. So at the end of the night last night Romney had won Arkansas, Idaho, Virginia, Ohio, Massachusetts (his home state) and Vermont. Santorum won North Dakota, Tennessee and Oklahoma, Gingrich won his home state or Georgia and Ron Paul didn't win anything. Since these results were so divided it really didn't lead the Republicans any closer to choosing a nominee. Romney gives his victory speech in Boston. But that is all very technical. Even though Santorum has won a few states, to me it seems HIGHLY likely that Romney will win the nomination. For another candidate to win, they would have to start domintat...

Whining While Working Out

I know I haven't blogged in a while...I do think about it a lot but I haven't had anything exciting to say! I'm still just babysitting and working out. But working out is the key part...I have had some REALLY hard workouts. Sunday (mother's day) I went out intending to run for 70 minutes and by about 45 I thought I was going to die. I mean not really die but I thought about asking someone if I could borrow their phone so I could get a ride home. It. was. awful. I mean I guess this is true...but I was pathetic. Then Monday I reluctantly put on my running shoes but then I looked outside and it was raining and I just decided to do laundry instead. Tuesday I had an okay 40 minutes on the elliptical while watching Sex and the City (thanks for lending it to me Sara!). I also visited my aunt, uncle and 2 cousins so it was a nice day.
